Van den Heuvel Engelen Infra is a true family business, founded in 2002 by brothers René, Ton, and Dirk – three of the six brothers from a farming family who joined forces to become a serious player in the world of infrastructure and landscaping projects. Their roots lie in the countryside; their strength is in collaboration and entrepreneurship.

From video request to brand story

Green Communicatie came into the picture when Van den Heuvel asked for a new corporate video. As always with Green, that’s never where it starts. We asked questions: What do you want to tell? What’s the real story? It soon became clear that the foundation could be stronger. Together, we embarked on the journey to unravel and refine their brand identity – using our proven brand design methodology.

From ‘Infra-Groen’ to ‘From Infra to Green’

During the process with the brothers of Van den Heuvel Engelen Infra, it quickly became clear where their distinctive strength lies: their broad involvement in projects from start to finish. Whether it’s utility construction or other infrastructure projects, the brothers are often active from the earliest planning stage. They join the construction team, contribute ideas about the building and design process, carry out the groundwork, and often also take care of the finishing touches – such as paving or landscaping.

This approach – guiding the entire process – is characteristic of their way of working. In their previous communications, this was partly described with the label ‘Infra-Groen’, but that term didn’t quite capture the essence. During one of the brand sessions, Green proposed a seemingly simple yet powerful adjustment: add two words and turn it into ‘Van infra tot groen’ (‘From infra to green’).

With this addition, their entire working method was summed up in one sentence. It underscores their involvement from A to Z and gives direction to their brand story. This new brand promise became the starting point for refining the brand identity and developing the new communication strategy and visual assets.

Together with the three brothers, we mapped out their services. This led to six clearly recognisable areas of expertise:

This structure formed the foundation for building the new website and further shaping the brand architecture.

A new website from A to Z

Green delivered a complete renewal of the website – from structure and content strategy to writing all web copy based on the refined brand identity. The design was developed in Figma and then realised in Craft CMS – a powerful and flexible system that ensures fast loading times, a user-friendly management environment, and excellent scalability and security.

Visually powerful: images say it all

Van den Heuvel Engelen’s projects are captured all over the country by Green. We turn these images and stories into strong, valuable references that enable VDH to show not only what they do, but also how they approach projects.

We use drone footage, timelapse videos, photography, and interviews.

With this material, we produce inspiring project stories for the website, a new overarching corporate video, and biannual video updates for staff and their network.

Building visibility together

Green continues to be involved in the growth of Van den Heuvel Engelen Infra. We meet every two months, create content and marketing materials, advise on visibility, and generate leads. This includes:
